As an artist, a composer, and a seeker, Temidayo considers his music both rhythmically and harmonically rooted in the Yoruba’s diverse cultural practices and other West-African musical genres.

Biography

Temidayo Balogun is a Pan-African saxophonist, pianist, talking drummer, composer, and educator from Osun state, Nigeria. While growing up, Temidayo had the chance of listening to a lot of west-African music with his late Father who was a music aficionado, specifically, a lover of Yoruba traditional music. At the age of 6, Temidayo started his musical journey by learning different African musical instruments like talking drum, and agbamole.

After high school, He studied music at Peter King College of Music and Muson School of Music where he studied saxophone and piano with Shola Kunkpe, Late Lt.Rtd.
